Program Description: This unique program is designed for students who are eager to experience the French way of life. As a participant, you’ll be fully immersed in the local culture, sharing daily life with your host family and attending a local school. You’ll have countless opportunities to learn about the traditions, customs, and day-to-day life of your host community.

The program begins with a national arrival orientation in Paris, where you’ll meet fellow AFS students and get a comprehensive introduction to life in France. Throughout the year, you’ll attend local orientations and participate in informal events organized by local volunteers. At the end of your stay, a national end-of-stay orientation in Paris will help you reflect on your experience and prepare for your return home.

Program Dates: September 2025 to July 2026

Eligibility: Students must be between 14.5 and 18 years old, and under 17 years and 9 months upon arrival. The eligible date of birth range is from December 1, 2007, to March 1, 2011.
